Role & Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of all shipping and receiving functions affecting store inventory
  • Maintain an orderly, well-organized stock and receiving area with proper merchandise ticketing and security sensor application
  • Process all inbound freight, returns-to-vendors (RTVs), chargebacks, transfers, and damages according to Company policies
  • Ensure compliance with receiving practices, safekeeping of Company funds and property, personnel practices, and security protocols
  • Apply security tags to merchandise to prevent loss
  • Communicate with central distribution and corporate inventory control departments
  • Participate in all inventory and cycle counts
  • Assist with floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and housekeeping activities
  • Complete price changes within the boutique
  • Pack and wrap customers' merchandise when necessary
  • Identify problems and propose solutions affecting receiving area service and productivity
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures
  • Participate in store meetings and training seminars
  • Execute ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in inventory management, receiving operations, or retail operations
  • Ability to handle receiving operations effectively with proper merchandise handling
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and follow-through capabilities
  • Proficiency in reading, counting, and writing for accurate documentation completion
  • Competency in processing information and merchandise through computer systems
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and manage time in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with required equipment including phone systems, inventory-control computer systems, sensor-tag removers, and office equipment
  • Flexibility to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
