Role & Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and efficient processing of all shipping and receiving functions affecting store inventory
- Maintain an orderly stock and receiving area while ensuring merchandise is properly ticketed and security-sensored
- Process inbound freight, returns-to-vendors, chargebacks, transfers, and damages according to company policies
- Support compliance with receiving practices, safekeeping of company funds and property, security protocols, and record-keeping procedures
- Apply appropriate security tags to prevent merchandise loss
- Communicate with central distribution and corporate inventory control departments
- Participate in all inventory and cycle counts
- Assist with floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and store housekeeping
- Support price changes within the boutique
- Pack and wrap customer merchandise as required
- Identify operational problems and propose informed suggestions to enhance service and productivity
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Participate in store meetings and training seminars
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Previous retail stock, shipping, and receiving experience
- Ability to handle receiving operations effectively with proper merchandise handling
- Proficiency in reading, counting, and writing to complete accurate documentation
- Competency with computer systems for processing information and merchandise
- Capacity to operate equipment including phone systems, inventory-control systems, and sensor-tag removers
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and follow-through abilities

Experience
Beginner-level experience with previous retail stock, shipping, and receiving operations preferred; demonstrated ability to manage receiving operations effectively and handle merchandise appropriately.
Education
Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete documentation and process information through computer systems.
