Role & Responsibilities

  • Analyze technical drawings, specifications, and samples of metal accessories provided by style and product development; evaluate production feasibility and define optimal manufacturing cycles and application processes for footwear integration
  • Support transition from prototype to serial production by validating processes, tooling, and manufacturing equipment; collaborate on material, finish, and surface treatment selection (plating, painting) to meet aesthetic and functional standards
  • Monitor production progress for metal accessories across external suppliers and internal manufacturing lines, ensuring adherence to delivery timelines and intervention on emerging production issues
  • Address production criticalities including defects, inefficiencies, and assembly problems; propose and implement technical solutions to optimize processes and reduce industrial costs
  • Supervise metal accessory application phases on footwear; provide technical support to production operators and ensure proper integration into finished products
  • Verify conformity of incoming metal accessories and in-process components against Maison quality standards; manage laboratory testing, dimensional controls, aesthetic and functional validation, and pre-production approvals
  • Collaborate with Quality department on non-conformity analysis, root cause determination, corrective and preventive action implementation, and customer claim resolution related to metal hardware
  • Serve as internal technical reference point for all metal accessory matters from prototype through serial production; coordinate effectively with Product Development, Styling, Production Operations, and Procurement teams

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in analogous roles within footwear, leather goods, or metal accessories manufacturing
  • Specific expertise in industrialization and/or production of metal components (casting, stamping, blanking, bending, electroplating, painting, tumbling, finishing)
  • In-depth knowledge of metal materials (zinc alloy, brass, steel, aluminum) and surface treatments for luxury fashion applications
  • Familiarity with production cycles, industrial cost estimation (costing), and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Technical knowledge of metal accessory application techniques on footwear
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
  • Precision, attention to detail, and quality orientation
  • Supplier management and technical negotiation skills
