Christian Dior Couture in Fosso, Italy seeks a Metal Hardware Industrialization Specialist to industrialize and manage production of metal footwear accessories.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Analyse technical drawings, specifications and samples of metal accessories supplied by the design and product development teams to determine production feasibility.
  • Define and validate production cycles, assembly methods and application processes for metal components on footwear, from prototype through serial production.
  • Select and specify materials, surface treatments and finishes (e.g. electroplating, painting, tumbling) in line with brand aesthetic and performance requirements.
  • Monitor production progress at internal lines and external suppliers, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues (defects, assembly inefficiencies), implementing corrective and preventive technical solutions.
  • Optimize manufacturing processes and industrial costs related to metal accessories and their integration into finished products.
  • Supervise application phases of metal hardware on footwear and provide technical guidance to operators on the production floor.
  • Manage laboratory testing, dimensional and aesthetic controls, and pre-production validations for metal accessories.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Development/Style, Production and Purchasing to qualify suppliers and coordinate technical requirements throughout the supply chain.
  • Act as the internal technical reference for all matters concerning metal hardware from prototyping to mass production.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years' experience in industrialization or production of metal components within footwear, leather goods, or accessory manufacturing.
  • Proven familiarity with production processes for metal accessories and their application on footwear (prototype to serial production).
  • Deep knowledge of metallic materials and surface treatments appropriate to luxury fashion applications.
  • Experience in supplier qualification, technical negotiation and cross‑functional coordination.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving and a demonstrated focus on quality, timing and cost control.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to operate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Flexibility, proactivity and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of English is considered a plus.

Experience
