Christian Dior Tokyo seeks Merchandising Senior Manager for Men's category; lead strategic buying, inventory planning, and seasonal collections for Japan market.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead men's buying sessions four times annually in Paris
- Manage Open-to-Buy budget and track orders for seasonal collections
- Forecast permanent collection performance by product category and store location
- Develop store-specific merchandising strategy and assortment to optimize sales potential across clusters
- Monitor seasonal sell-through performance and execute corrective in-season action plans
- Oversee merchandise replenishment on retail floor and e-commerce channels
- Prepare and conduct collection presentations for internal teams and customer trunk shows in coordination with retail operations
- Deliver weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual retail management reports
- Conduct market competitive analysis including category mix and bestseller tracking
- Support Made-to-Measure and tailoring operations
- Collect and analyze customer feedback from key retail locations
- Champion process improvement and best practice implementation across operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of merchandising experience (merchandise planning, allocation, or administration)
- Proven experience in retail fashion industry
- Demonstrated team management capability
- Strong numerical and analytical capabilities with ability to process large data volumes
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Fluent Japanese language skills
- English proficiency (TOEIC 800 or equivalent)
- Strategic thinking and commercial acumen
- Exceptional cross-functional collaboration abilities
- Fashion industry sensitivity and retail trend awareness
