Dior internship: Merchandising Scenography Project Assistant, Neuilly-sur-Seine. 5-month position designing retail displays and visual merchandising.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed merchandising guidelines for international markets to ensure consistency and proper implementation of displays at point-of-sale (~30%)
  • Conceive and develop ephemeral POS elements destined for product launches (fragrance, makeup, skincare) in Dior retail points (~15%)
  • Create execution documents and technical plans for POS and podium production using design tools including Illustrator and SketchUp (~15%)
  • Participate in animating boutiques and multi-brand retail spaces through creation of merchandising displays and ephemeral podiums (~15%)
  • Produce creative moodboards for merchandising animations and launches consistent with the House's visual identity (~10%)
  • Prepare and manage creative briefs for 3D illustrators including sketches, technical plans, and design oversight (~5%)
  • Contribute to merchandising meeting preparation by producing presentation materials and ensuring follow-up of mockups and prototypes (~10%)

Qualifications

  • Pursuing or holding a Master-level degree (Bac +4/Bac +5) in design, interior architecture, or spatial design (Master 2 or DSAA)
  • First academic or professional experience in design, interior architecture, or visual merchandising
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and PowerPoint
  • Essential mastery of SketchUp for modeling and merchandise display conception
  • Ability to produce sketches, technical plans, and visual concepts
  • Strong sensitivity to retail design, merchandising, and luxury aesthetics
