Christian Dior Couture, New York: Merchandising Manager, Fine Jewelry & Timepieces. Full-time role managing boutique assortment, inventory, and sales performance. $110K–$125K annually.
Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain frequent communication with boutique teams to share sales performance updates, identify opportunities, and support business-driving actions to maximize sales
- Conduct strategic analysis of stock performance and network strategy to propose action plans for improving sales performance
- Lead the local event program, coordinating with Fine Jewelry & Timepieces regional teams to establish annual rotation calendars, determine localized assortments, manage product dispatch, and track comprehensive sales for each event
- Manage day-to-day product and inventory support for boutiques, responding to product inquiries, stock requests, and retail needs in a timely manner
- Conduct weekly stock rebalancing across boutiques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining appropriate inventory levels by location
- Manage client orders from initiation through completion, ensuring accurate and timely execution of confirmed sales, buybacks, special orders, and final delivery
- Support assortment and inventory planning for caravans, events, and new store openings, ensuring operational readiness and product availability
- Assist in defining and maintaining store assortments by collection and store cluster to support business strategy, client demand, and commercial objectives
- Prepare product launch tools, including launch packs, product mappings, and selling materials, to support successful product launches in boutiques
- Manage the corporate and retail consignment program, ensuring proper tracking, coordination, and execution while partnering with Human Resources to maintain accurate documentation
- Prepare, review, and complete weekly sales reports including Excel-based store recaps, business performance summaries, and tracking against sales targets
- Monitor business performance and provide regular insights on sales trends, product performance, and commercial opportunities
- Participate in monthly forecasting meetings and provide detailed business analysis to support planning and decision-making
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of prior merchandising and/or buying experience in luxury retail
- Fine Jewelry & Timepieces industry experience preferred
- Advanced Excel proficiency and strong knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs, particularly PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurately under tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of merchandising and/or buying experience in luxury retail or fine jewelry sectors. Experience with Fine Jewelry & Timepieces merchandising, inventory optimization, and boutique network management is strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion, Retail Management, or related field (or equivalent professional experience in luxury merchandising).
