Christian Dior Couture (New York) seeks a Merchandising Coordinator, Shoes & Baby — hybrid role focused on assortment, reporting and boutique liaison.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review weekly sales reports, stock-on-hand and delivery receipts to support the Shoes business plan for Americas boutiques.
  • Act as primary liaison with Retail teams: manage daily product inquiries, collect qualitative boutique feedback and present business updates on retail calls.
  • Aggregate boutique feedback for collection launches and end-of-season recaps; compile seasonal and event collection feedback.
  • Conduct market and competitive analyses: monitor pricing, trends, market activities and events and prepare insight recaps.
  • Create and lead seasonal launch materials for Shoes & Baby, including buy books, photo and selling tools; ensure client orders are accurately fulfilled and allocations are adjusted strategically.
  • Support assortment planning for store openings, pop-ups and events and partner with Supply Chain on order validation and follow-up.
  • Assist Senior Merchandising Managers during seasonal markets (in-person and virtual), maintaining organisation under tight deadlines during high‑paced buying sessions.
  • Support the Reserve process with product selection, opening units, order validation and store follow-up while tracking conversion and sell-through.
  • Perform premarket analysis by store, classification and collection; review sales results from advertising campaigns and catalogue styles.
  • Prepare weekly selling reports, contribute to newsletters and complete analyses on fast/slow sellers and client metrics to provide actionable business insights.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of merchandising or buying experience; luxury retail experience—particularly women's or footwear—is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in retail math and retail KPIs (sell‑through, inventory turns, conversion).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence retail partners and cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Experience
