Christian Dior Couture seeks Temporary Merchandising Coordinator in New York for Men's buying and inventory allocation across Americas boutiques.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Review and support generation of weekly sales reports; create Excel-based store and business recaps and track performance against sales targets
  • Manage and follow up on daily product shipping and deliveries across Americas boutiques
  • Partner closely with retail teams to manage product inquiries and present business updates on regular retail calls
  • Assist in buffer management, stock rebalances, and markdown preparations by recommending styles for clearance
  • Identify reorder opportunities in Men's to maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Support new store openings and pop-up initiatives with inventory planning and logistics
  • Manage inventory allocation and preparation for seasonal store events
  • Support Men's team on weekly and monthly sales forecasting, receipt planning, and stock level projections
  • Collaborate with the Men's team to communicate market feedback and needs to the Paris central merchandising office
  • Develop market intelligence through store visits and seasonal competitor analysis
  • Support the Seasonal Reserve process by creating buy books, coordinating with boutiques, fulfilling client orders, and adjusting allocations strategically
  • Participate in seasonal market sessions including premarket analysis by store, classification, and sizing; aggregate boutique feedback; define store assortment by product category and cluster; and size SKUs by boutique based on analysis and client feedback
  • Maintain positive, organized approach while meeting tight deadlines during intensive buying sessions
  • Prepare weekly reports, newsletters, fast/slow seller reports, sell-through reports, seasonal collection feedback, and end-of-season product analysis

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) with advanced Excel skills for heavy workload
  • Strong working knowledge of Retail Math and key retail KPIs
  • Demonstrated understanding of contemporary menswear and shifting market dynamics
  • Experience with merchandising software and retail systems
  • Detail-oriented with ability to meet tight deadlines
