Christian Dior Couture internship: Assistant Retail Merchandiser in Paris. 6-month stage combining sales analysis, assortment planning, and merchandising strategy.
Role & Responsibilities
- Analyze weekly sales reporting (sell-out) by collection, product segment, and geographic zone
- Monitor key performance indicators including sell-through rates and inventory coverage levels
- Identify growth opportunities by zone and highlight best-selling items with actionable recommendations
- Assist in the construction of permanent and seasonal assortments to optimize collection performance
- Participate in showroom buying sessions (sell-in) and support purchase forecasting initiatives
- Develop macro-forecasts and recommend buying strategies aligned with market demand
- Coordinate collection sample boards (modelário) and manage product segmentation by store typology
- Prepare debrief meetings with zone-specific purchase adjustment recommendations
- Propose and implement relevant analytical tools addressing current commercial challenges
- Develop product guidelines for visual merchandising teams covering launches, capsule collections, and seasonal narratives
Qualifications
- Master's degree (Bac+5) from a business school or engineering school
- Proficiency in English and French (required)
- Advanced Excel proficiency with VBA/Macros knowledge (preferred)
- PowerPoint competency
- Demonstrated analytical capability combined with product and fashion affinity
- Rigor, organization, and polyvalence in project execution
- Strong teamwork orientation and adaptability in a demanding luxury environment
