Internship opportunity as Knitwear Development Assistant at Christian Dior Couture, Paris. Support collection development and sample management in fashion.
Role & Responsibilities
- Receive and track prototypes in detail, controlling measurements of each model prior to fitting sessions, classifying and archiving accordingly
- Monitor shipments with carriers and ensure receipt of parcels; receive yarn ranges and thread supplies
- Organize and manage samples throughout collection development to guarantee availability for meetings and presentations
- Ensure proper circulation of references across different departments and stakeholders
- Prepare and organize internal meetings; manage ad-hoc support tasks including courier requests, visitor reception, and administrative assistance as needed
- Update development overviews and boards; maintain development knitwear department budgets
- Track supplies for the knitwear development department and participate in supply-related meetings
- Manage shipment of all supplies to manufacturing facilities
Qualifications
- Fluent French and English
- Proficiency in Excel
- Strong organizational skills with ability to work autonomously and within a team
- Meticulous attention to detail with flexibility in a dynamic environment
- Knowledge of or genuine interest in knitwear development
Skills
Experience
Entry-level experience in administrative support, supply chain coordination, or fashion development is beneficial but not required.
Education
Secondary education or equivalent; tertiary education in fashion, business administration, or related field is preferred.
