Key Account Manager role at Dior Perfumes & Cosmetics in London. Manage retailer partnerships, drive commercial growth, and oversee P&L performance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Commercial Manager in developing a 3-year vision and strategy for selected retailers, reviewing progress annually to ensure delivery is on track and recommending changes as appropriate
- Recommend annual budgets and plans aligned with 3-year strategic objectives; support in negotiating commercial terms and retail tactics including trade marketing plans, distribution strategies, and staffing requirements
- Compile and monitor trading results (retail sales, gross sales, net sales, stock, returns, DSO) on monthly and quarterly bases to ensure performance targets are met, developing proposals to enhance performance in-flight
- Drive P&L enhancement for selected retailers in line with 3-year strategy, reviewing spend against budget quarterly (staffing, capital expenditure) to achieve profit targets
- Forecast quantities for new launches in collaboration with Operations; present launch journeys to retailers to secure appropriate sell-in; monitor retail sales, sell-in, and stock cover monthly to optimize assortment and resolve out-of-stock issues
- Monitor payments and overdue accounts with Finance team, escalating issues to Senior Commercial Manager as required; serve as primary contact for all communications with assigned retailers
- Lead key projects and initiatives to drive business performance, coordinating activity across retailers and internal functions to ensure successful delivery on time and within budget
Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience in luxury goods, cosmetics, or retail
- Strong background in makeup with demonstrable commercial success in the category
- Graduate-level education
- Sound understanding of and appreciation for the luxury goods industry
- Personal affinity with the Dior brand and products
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years in luxury goods, cosmetics, or retail environments, with a proven track record of commercial success specifically within the makeup category. The ideal candidate demonstrates hands-on experience managing retailer relationships, forecasting inventory, and driving sell-through across multiple channels.
