Role & Responsibilities
- Analyze existing production methods for metal parts, identify bottlenecks, and propose innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Design and develop specialized tools, molds, and fixtures for the manufacturing of metal components, ensuring optimal process flow and product specifications.
- Evaluate and select appropriate metallic materials for each component, considering mechanical properties, aesthetic requirements, cost-effectiveness, and durability standards for luxury leather goods.
- Prepare detailed technical specifications for all metal parts, including dimensions, tolerances, surface finishes, and assembly requirements.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure industrialization feasibility of new product developments and with production teams to implement new processes and resolve technical challenges.
- Establish and monitor stringent quality control standards for metal components, ensuring compliance with internal and external quality benchmarks.
- Assess and approve suppliers for raw materials and manufacturing metal parts services, negotiate contracts, and oversee adherence to technical specifications and delivery schedules.
- Stay abreast of new technologies, materials, and trends in metal fabrication and the leather goods industry, continuously seeking opportunities for process and product innovation.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues encountered during the manufacturing process of metal parts, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure suppliers and partners comply with LVMH Group standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrialization, manufacturing engineering, or process optimization, with a significant focus on metal parts, preferably within the luxury goods, automotive, or jewelry sectors.
