Christian Dior Couture internship in Paris: Heritage Collections Assistant supporting archive management, conservation, and database operations within the Dior Heritage team.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the complete intake cycle of heritage collections, from identification through conditioning and database entry
  • Identify and categorize contemporary collection accessions and vintage acquisitions (garments and accessories)
  • Create and assign inventory numbers to incoming pieces
  • Index collection items and associated photography into the heritage database
  • Design and produce heritage labels for garments and accessories
  • Coordinate with the photography team to ensure all pieces have comprehensive photographic documentation in the database prior to external storage
  • Liaise with the conditioning department to facilitate proper preservation preparation and external reserve placement

Qualifications

  • Student or recent graduate in collection management, preventive conservation, museum documentation, or related discipline
  • Demonstrated understanding of art and cultural object stewardship
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative applications
  • Familiarity with photographic documentation and Lightroom software (preferred)
  • Fluency in French (required for on-site Paris role)
