Role & Responsibilities

  • Supervise inventory and digitization of the photographic collection, including acquisition workflows and cataloging processes
  • Develop and implement conservation and restoration policies tailored to photographic materials and technical specifications
  • Manage photographic storage facilities in collaboration with the Documentation Manager
  • Contribute to acquisition strategy and collection development initiatives across the Dior Héritage department
  • Execute iconographic research requests for editorial projects, exhibitions, boutique openings, documentaries, press publications, and digital platforms
  • Prepare research dossiers for internal departments including studios, press, events, cultural projects, and La Galerie Dior
  • Negotiate and clarify usage rights for photographic materials and manage associated budgets
  • Coordinate with legal services on intellectual property and licensing matters
  • Contribute to exhibition planning, including artwork selection, caption writing, and supervision of print production and installation
  • Oversee digitization projects and manage Digital Asset Management (DAM) system updates and documentary indexing
  • Supervise integration of photographic collections into the physical collections management database to ensure traceability

Qualifications

  • Master's degree (Bac +5) in archival science, art history, fashion history, museology, information science, or equivalent
  • Specialized knowledge in photography or photographic collections management
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a similar role within a luxury house, heritage department, or fashion-related museum
  • Expert knowledge of photographic history, technical processes (historical and contemporary), and material supports
  • Proficiency in fashion photography techniques and specifications
  • Advanced competency in image processing software (Photoshop, Lightroom) and database management systems (DAM)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of copyright law, intellectual property rights, and privacy law within the fashion sector
  • Professional archival science and collections management credentials
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, describe, and index complex iconographic collections
  • Strong project management capabilities
