Role & Responsibilities

• Establish and execute preventive, corrective, and improvement maintenance policies to ensure equipment reliability, availability, and regulatory compliance; prioritize interventions, manage critical spare parts inventory, and monitor key performance indicators including equipment downtime, MTBF, MTTR, costs, and availability
• Identify, propose, and oversee capital investment, modernization, and improvement projects for industrial buildings, utilities, production, and packaging equipment; prepare technical specifications, coordinate supplier consultations, and supervise studies, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover within cost, schedule, and HSE constraints
• Define and deploy the site's physical and operational security policies to prevent malveillance, theft, sabotage, and intrusion; secure access controls, badge systems, video surveillance, alarms, and critical asset flows including samples, concentrates, alcohol, components, and sensitive documentation
• Deploy occupational health and safety policies, conduct risk assessments to update legal documentation, ensure strict compliance with safety protocols across employees, temporary staff, and external contractors, and actively cultivate a culture of safety through emergency drills and incident prevention training
• Guarantee industrial hygiene standards appropriate to perfume manufacturing; define and enforce technical cleanliness standards, contamination controls, and chemical exposure prevention across production, storage, and circulation zones
• Ensure environmental regulatory compliance including waste management, effluent discharge, water and energy consumption monitoring, and pollution prevention; implement site footprint reduction initiatives and manage environmental incidents through root cause analysis and corrective action
• Lead maintenance, general services, HSE, and security teams by setting priorities, developing technical competencies, and fostering cross-functional collaboration with production, quality, procurement, human resources, and site leadership; prepare and monitor departmental budgets

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification, ideally specializing in maintenance, industrial engineering, HSE, facilities, or energy management
• Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in industrial environments, preferably in cosmetics, perfumery, specialty chemicals, or food production
• Proven expertise in leading and developing technical teams and managing external service providers
• Mastery of maintenance policies, capital project delivery, occupational health and safety regulations, chemical risk assessment, and fire/explosion prevention in regulated industrial settings
• Strong technical competency in mechanical maintenance management systems (CMMS/GMAO), budgetary control, and operational excellence
• Demonstrated crisis management capability and rapid decision-making under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal skills with natural field leadership; ability to align cross-functional stakeholders and cultivate a constructive workplace culture
• Proactive mindset with strong internal customer orientation, commitment to operational continuity, and a culture of confidentiality and risk mitigation

Skills

Experience

Minimum 5 years of confirmed experience in industrial manufacturing environments, preferably in cosmetics, perfumery, specialty chemicals, or food production sectors. Proven track record of successfully managing technical teams and coordinating with external service providers across maintenance, capital projects, and compliance initiatives.

Education

Engineering degree or equivalent qualification, ideally with specialization in maintenance, industrial engineering, health, safety and environment (HSE), facilities management, or energy systems.
