Christian Dior Couture — Paris seeks a Haute Couture Fabrics Assistant (Intern) to manage fabric library, samples and supplier coordination.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and update fabric summary sheets and detailed fabric boards for fittings.
  • Produce collection books in coordination with the design and studio teams.
  • Maintain and organise collection racks and the fabric library (tissuthèque).
  • Create and manage colour ranges and fabric swatches for collections.
  • Support organisation of fabric meetings and prepare presentations for internal reviews.
  • Track incoming shipments and coordinate with material handlers and logistics providers (including DHL).
  • Record and maintain collection information such as reception dates and fabric references.
  • Receive and catalog fabric samples and tirelles from suppliers.
  • Assist the fabrics team with daily operational tasks and supplier appointments.
  • Participate in supplier meetings and follow up on sample deliveries and dispatches.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from a fashion school or equivalent in textiles/materials.
  • Previous internship or similar experience in luxury fashion or apparel is preferred.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
  • High attention to detail and rigorous record-keeping.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written).
  • Effective communicator and proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Valid internship agreement (convention de stage) required; availability for immediate start.

Experience

Entry-level internship; prior hands-on experience or an internship in the luxury fashion or textile sector is preferred but not mandatory.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in fashion, textile design, materials science for fashion, or related discipline.
