Christian Dior Couture seeks Footwear Structural Technician in Fosso, Italy. Lead industrialization of luxury shoe components with 5+ years experience.
Role & Responsibilities
- Analyze technical drawings and prototype specifications to evaluate feasibility and identify production challenges, proposing viable solutions
- Develop and optimize internal footwear structures and components including lasts, heels, soles, and insoles for serial manufacturing
- Define and standardize assembly and mounting processes to ensure efficiency and consistent quality
- Collaborate with suppliers to identify and select innovative materials and components suitable for industrialization
- Supervise sample and pre-series creation, providing technical support and troubleshooting
- Implement cost-reduction solutions while maintaining design integrity and quality standards
- Monitor and analyze production performance, proposing process and product improvements
- Verify conformity of industrialized products to internal quality standards and applicable regulations
- Work cross-functionally with design teams to preserve aesthetic integrity during industrialization
- Collaborate with production managers on the introduction of new models and line optimization
- Train and support production personnel on new techniques and processes
Qualifications
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in analogous roles within the footwear sector (technical development, industrialization, advanced pattern-making)
- Proven expertise in the development and industrialization of footwear structures
- Experience managing suppliers and overseeing production launch phases
- Strong technical analysis capabilities and problem-solving orientation
- Demonstrated process optimization mindset
- Meticulous attention to detail with a quality-first approach suited to luxury manufacturing
- Solid interpersonal skills and collaborative work ethic
- English language proficiency is valued

Experience
A minimum of 5 years in equivalent roles within the footwear industry, with demonstrated expertise in technical development, industrialization, or advanced pattern-making. Extensive hands-on experience with structural development and mold production phases is essential, along with proven success in managing suppliers and guiding products through production ramp-up.
Education
Technical qualification in footwear design, industrial engineering, or related discipline is preferred; equivalent professional experience may substitute.
