Role & Responsibilities

• Analyze alteration specifications by following the fitter's markings and tracings, ensuring precision in all modifications
• Disassemble garments methodically, documenting technical details to maintain consistency during reassembly
• Operate specialized sewing machinery including flat-bed piqueuses, overlocking machines, buttonhole makers, and industrial presses while maintaining equipment in optimal condition
• Reassemble garments with requested alterations, verifying that the final result precisely matches client specifications
• Press and finish garments with meticulous attention to detail, conducting thorough quality inspections for perfect fit adjustments
• Coordinate closely with fitters to establish optimal delivery timelines and consult with sales advisors to confirm client satisfaction
• Maintain workshop organization, cleanliness, and operational efficiency
• Adhere to internal workshop procedures, alteration documentation, and scheduling protocols
• Provide impeccable client service by offering expert advice on alterations and answering questions about customization options
• Collaborate with sales consultants to deliver personalized fitting experiences and ensure seamless client communication
• Track alteration progress throughout the process until the client is fully satisfied
• Adapt service approach to accommodate individual client preferences and requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of documented experience in fitting and alteration within luxury retail environments
• Mastery of textile measurement techniques and comprehensive knowledge of fabric types and properties
• Advanced proficiency in alteration techniques including seam assembly, garment construction, and patching
• Demonstrated excellence in work quality with consistent execution speed and accuracy
• Strong interpersonal skills with adaptability to diverse client needs
• Unwavering attention to detail, punctuality, and responsiveness
• Genuine passion for fashion and deep understanding of the luxury sector
• Fluent in English

Skills

Experience

Minimum 3 years of significant experience in fitting and alteration work within luxury retail and menswear contexts.

Education

Technical training in tailoring, garment construction, or textile craftsmanship is strongly preferred; formal qualifications in haute couture or artisanal tailoring are advantageous.
