Role & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the industrial execution of artistic direction projects for small leather goods from concept through production, ensuring alignment with design intent and technical constraints.
  • Organize and lead cross‑functional project meetings with design, product development, marketing, production and external partners to drive milestones and decisions.
  • Select and validate materials, colors, finishes and accessories in collaboration with designers and suppliers; monitor prototype and sample progress to ensure compliance with technical and aesthetic specifications.
  • Conduct aesthetic and technical quality controls throughout development and production; identify root causes and implement corrective actions with production teams and suppliers.
  • Establish, monitor and enforce development and production schedules; manage budgets for design projects and negotiate costs and lead times with suppliers and service providers.
  • Maintain market and materials watch to propose innovative concepts, and integrate sustainability and quality requirements into product development.
  • Travel regularly as required (notably to Italy) to coordinate suppliers, attend fittings and oversee production phases.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in English, Italian and French (written and spoken) — required.
  • Degree from a recognised fashion school in Fashion Design, Industrial Design or an equivalent discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in fashion and leather goods, or within a dedicated leather goods maison, in coordination or project management roles.
  • Deep knowledge of leather types, textiles, accessories and artisanal manufacturing techniques used in luxury small leather goods.
  • Proven project management, organisational and prioritisation skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Autonomy, initiative and the capacity to perform under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
  • Demonstrable commitment to sustainable product development practices.
