Christian Dior Couture seeks Financial Controller in Seoul to lead Accounting and FP&A functions, reporting to CFO.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Inventory accounting, and Tax filings
- Ensure full compliance with local statutory regulations and group accounting policies
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes with strict adherence to reporting deadlines
- Lead internal and external audits, ensuring robust internal control environments and mitigating financial risks
- Review and validate all legal obligations and contracts
- Lead the annual budgeting, rolling forecasting, and long-term strategic planning processes
- Analyse actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying key variances, risks, and commercial opportunities
- Partner with Retail, Human Resources, Marketing, and Merchandising teams to optimize retail store profitability, marketing ROI, and operational expenditures
- Develop financial models and business cases for retail network expansion, pop-up stores, and strategic investments
- Act as a key strategic advisor to senior management, translating complex financial data into actionable business insights
- Manage, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team, fostering high performance and continuous learning
- Collaborate closely with Regional Centre of Excellence and Corporate headquarters for group reporting and alignment with global standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 12 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, ideally combining Big 4 audit background with in-house corporate finance experience within Luxury Goods, Fashion, Retail, or FMCG
- Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline with professional accounting qualification (e.g., AICPA, ACCA, ICAEW, or local equivalent) strongly preferred
- Deep expertise in local statutory accounting, tax regulations, and financial reporting as well as IFRS
- Advanced financial modeling, budgeting, and analytical skills
- Strong business acumen with deep appreciation for the unique retail dynamics and margin structures of the luxury industry
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional leaders

Minimum 12 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, ideally combining Big 4 audit background with in-house corporate finance experience within Luxury Goods, Fashion, Retail, or FMCG sectors.
Education
