Christian Dior Couture seeks Design Assistant for Men's Tailoring internship in Paris. Fashion Design degree and portfolio required; start October.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist the design team in the creation and development of men's ready-to-wear tailoring pieces throughout the entire creative process
- Execute sketches, renderings, and technical drawings using Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator
- Monitor and coordinate 3D digital mockups and prototype development
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure seamless design execution
- Support collection preparation activities during Fashion Week, including presentation materials and logistical coordination
- Participate in design fittings preparation: assembling presentation boards, configuring prototypes, and managing prototype reception and documentation
- Assist in organizing studio meetings, preparing presentations, and coordinating team communications
- Perform administrative and organizational tasks to maintain studio efficiency and workflow
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fashion Design from an accredited institution
- Valid internship agreement from current educational institution (mandatory)
- Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator at an advanced level
- Practical experience in sewing and garment construction techniques
- Completion of at least one graduation collection or equivalent experience in a professional design studio
- Portfolio demonstrating design capability and creative vision (required for consideration)
- Strong analytical and conceptual design skills with a research-oriented mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary team environments
