Christian Dior Couture seeks a Deputy Department Manager, Menswear at Harrods, London — lead sales, client development and team performance.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead by example on the sales floor: coach, mentor and develop the team to elevate sales and service techniques.
  • Support the Department Manager in defining and executing a local client development strategy targeting VVIC and Elite clientele.
  • Drive departmental sales performance and monitor KPIs; implement corrective actions to meet commercial objectives.
  • Build cross‑functional relationships with other product universes and Head Office to maximise cross‑sell opportunities and inform assortment feedback.
  • Organise and delegate daily tasks, oversee staffing and support recruitment, appraisal and talent development activities.
  • Support stock ordering and inventory management; take measures to minimise shrinkage and control store operating expenses.
  • Manage client complaints and resolution processes to protect the brand experience and client retention.
  • Ensure flawless execution of visual, housekeeping and merchandising standards within the concession.
  • Operate selling systems and adhere to cash, credit and exchange procedures; maintain administrative compliance to company processes.
  • Implement security best practices to prevent loss and protect product integrity.
  • Represent the maison as an ambassador at events and with clients when required; perform additional duties as directed by the Line Manager or Head Office.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in luxury retail, including prior experience at assistant/assistant manager level.
  • In‑depth knowledge of men's ready‑to‑wear, shoes and accessories.
  • Proven track record in recruiting and developing long‑term client relationships, including work with high‑value or VIP clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop an experienced retail team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong influencing ability.
  • Passion for the Dior brand and an informed awareness of contemporary fashion and trends.
  • Fluency in a second language is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience
