Department Manager at Christian Dior Couture, Singapore – Lead a luxury retail team and drive sales performance in this permanent full-time role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the department team to achieve sales targets and exceptional results
- Develop team members' skills through training, coaching, and regular performance feedback
- Manage day-to-day department operations including inventory, visual merchandising, and boutique standards
- Ensure team presentation and grooming standards align with brand image and luxury retail expectations
- Recruit new team members and oversee their integration and onboarding
- Conduct product and sales training for staff and optimize performance metrics including mystery shopping results
- Establish and communicate individual and departmental sales objectives through monthly evaluations
- Monitor KPIs and sales targets, providing daily coaching and feedback to drive performance
- Develop cross-selling strategies and foster interdepartmental collaboration to maximize overall boutique turnover
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and upkeep of selling spaces according to brand guidelines
- Build and nurture a strong clientele base through personalized customer engagement and relationship management
- Manage customer service matters including complaints, special requests, and packaging within the department
- Maintain and update customer database to support effective CRM and clientele development initiatives
- Participate in boutique events and represent the brand image consistently
- Work collaboratively with Boutique Manager and Merchandiser to optimize sell-through and inventory performance
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in luxury retail
- Demonstrated excellence in team leadership and talent development
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Detail-oriented and well-organized
- Ability to perform under pressure and manage competing priorities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
