Christian Dior Department Manager
Christian Dior Couture seeks a Department Manager in Munich (Maximilianstraße) to lead a luxury retail department, drive sales and develop talent.

Role & Responsibilities
- Maximise departmental sales and profitability by executing commercial strategy in collaboration with the Boutique Manager.
- Optimise stock usage and oversee ordering, transfers and inventory flows to maintain appropriate merchandise levels.
- Co-develop the annual sales and network strategic plan and contribute to budget preparation and follow‑up.
- Monitor daily sales against targets, implement corrective actions and report performance in managers’ meetings.
- Coordinate and implement marketing activities in partnership with the Marketing Manager according to the yearly calendar.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with suppliers and business partners to support commercial initiatives.
- Recruit, manage, engage and develop direct reports; set objectives, manage budgets for team members and ensure achievement.
- Coach and train team members to elevate client service standards and exceed customer expectations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail, with at least 2 years in a managerial role within a luxury/fashion environment.
- Fluent in German and English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Demonstrable commercial creativity and strong fashion sensibility.
- Proven leadership, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to coach and motivate a sales team.
- Strong organisational skills, prioritisation and time management in a fast-paced, client-driven setting.
- Initiative-driven mindset with a solid understanding of luxury industry standards and client expectations.
Skills
Experience
At least 5 years of retail experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity within luxury retail; experience managing budgets, inventory and a sales team is required.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; a tertiary qualification in retail, business, fashion or a related field is preferred.
