Christian Dior Couture seeks Costing Analyst for ready-to-wear pricing and cost optimization in Paris. Permanent, on-site role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop retail pricing and cost structures for four seasonal PAP collections, capsules, and special projects in collaboration with manufacturing partners and technical teams
- Obtain and analyze manufacturing costs from suppliers; challenge and negotiate cost proposals while ensuring alignment with technical specifications and quality requirements
- Produce pre-costing estimates and deliver comprehensive performance analysis on assigned portfolio
- Monitor and analyze costing performance indicators (KPIs); identify gaps against targets and recommend improvement plans
- Collaborate with the planning team to allocate production across the supplier network in accordance with sales forecasts, delivery schedules, and manufacturing capacity
- Partner with technical teams to identify industrial optimization opportunities that preserve the house's quality standards while reducing costs
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of costing, cost engineering, or pricing experience in luxury fashion or apparel manufacturing
- Demonstrated knowledge of luxury sector principles, product specifications, and quality standards
- Technical understanding of garment construction, seam placement, and assembly processes
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred) and PLM software (Centric or equivalent)
- Strong analytical and data synthesis capabilities
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in costing, pricing, or cost engineering within luxury fashion, apparel manufacturing, or related luxury goods sectors. Demonstrated track record of managing cost optimization projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams including development, production, and technical design.
Education
Bachelor's degree in fashion business, supply chain management, engineering, finance, or related discipline; or equivalent professional experience in luxury goods costing and manufacturing.
