Christian Dior Couture in Paris seeks a Commis Pastry Chef for its 30 Avenue Montaigne flagship — full-time role supporting restaurant, café and pâtisserie.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform preparatory mise en place and basic pastry production tasks for the restaurant, café and pâtisserie at the Montaigne flagship.
- Assist Demi Chefs de Partie and Chefs de Partie in the execution and finishing of plated desserts and pâtisserie items.
- Ensure service readiness and support service operations according to the maison's restaurant procedures.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and care for equipment in strict compliance with HACCP and internal hygiene standards.
- Participate in goods reception and inventory checks following HACCP protocols and internal procedures.
- Set up and distribute plated dishes and pâtisserie products for service.
- Sort and manage waste disposal according to site procedures, and report any safety or accident risks to management.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' professional experience in pastry or in a professional kitchen, ideally within a luxury hotel, restaurant or high-end pâtisserie.
- Practical knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations.
- Demonstrable attention to detail and strong service orientation.
- Creative sensibility and good interpersonal skills suitable for a flagship environment.
- Organisational skills with aptitude for anticipation, follow-through and working under service pressure.

Experience
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in pastry or kitchen operations, preferably within a luxury hospitality or culinary environment.
Education
Vocational qualification in pastry or culinary arts preferred (e.g., CAP Pâtissier or equivalent); relevant on-the-job training will be considered.
