Christian Dior Couture in Paris seeks a Commis Pastry Chef for its 30 Avenue Montaigne flagship — full-time role supporting restaurant, café and pâtisserie.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform preparatory mise en place and basic pastry production tasks for the restaurant, café and pâtisserie at the Montaigne flagship.
  • Assist Demi Chefs de Partie and Chefs de Partie in the execution and finishing of plated desserts and pâtisserie items.
  • Ensure service readiness and support service operations according to the maison's restaurant procedures.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and care for equipment in strict compliance with HACCP and internal hygiene standards.
  • Participate in goods reception and inventory checks following HACCP protocols and internal procedures.
  • Set up and distribute plated dishes and pâtisserie products for service.
  • Sort and manage waste disposal according to site procedures, and report any safety or accident risks to management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' professional experience in pastry or in a professional kitchen, ideally within a luxury hotel, restaurant or high-end pâtisserie.
  • Practical knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations.
  • Demonstrable attention to detail and strong service orientation.
  • Creative sensibility and good interpersonal skills suitable for a flagship environment.
  • Organisational skills with aptitude for anticipation, follow-through and working under service pressure.

Experience

Vocational qualification in pastry or culinary arts preferred (e.g., CAP Pâtissier or equivalent); relevant on-the-job training will be considered.
