Christian Dior Couture Paris: Climate & Carbon Manager (CDI) – drive decarbonization strategy and sustainability across the iconic Maison.
Role & Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and validate CO₂ emissions data (scopes 1, 2, and 3) according to GHG Protocol standards; ensure data quality, consistency, and traceability
- Manage internal and external reporting of carbon emissions to LVMH Group, ADEME, and other stakeholders
- Administer, maintain, and evolve the digital carbon emissions platform; control data coherence and update emission factors
- Generate carbon reports and track progress toward reduction targets; oversee SBTi trajectory module, reduction module, financial module, and trajectory simulations
- Pilot and optimize climate transition investments using the MACC (Marginal Abatement Cost of Carbon) tool in close collaboration with Finance; prioritize emission reduction levers and quantify costs and impacts
- Update and monitor progress on the Maison's climate transition plan and 2030 decarbonization pathway
- Lead energy audits on industrial sites and boutiques to identify energy-saving opportunities and improvement potentials
- Drive energy transition across sites (boutiques, manufactures, workshops, offices) through deployment of smart meters, optimization of HVAC and LED lighting systems, installation of solar panels and heat pumps, and Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)
- Negotiate and manage renewable energy contracts (RECs and equivalent agreements)
- Decarbonize logistics and transportation (maritime freight, sustainable alternative fuels) in collaboration with Supply Chain and key transport partners
- Build and animate strategic partnerships with key suppliers (tanneries, mills, etc.) to reduce value chain carbon footprint
- Administer and evolve the climate risk analysis tool; identify, assess, and prioritize climate risks for Dior Couture
- Design and deploy a climate adaptation plan addressing physical risks (site resilience) and transition risks (regulation, market)
- Organize and deliver training on climate issues and Dior Couture's sustainability strategy
- Facilitate Climate Fresco workshops for staff teams
- Collaborate closely with other LVMH Maisons to share best practices and harmonize approaches
- Raise awareness among procurement, supply chain, logistics, and other departments on integrating carbon considerations into their processes
Qualifications
- Bac+5 degree (five-year higher education) in engineering, climate science, renewable energy, sustainable development, or equivalent field
- Minimum 7 years of confirmed experience in carbon management, energy transition, ideally in industrial or FMCG context with understanding of FLAG (Forestry, Land and Agriculture) emissions
- Prior experience in procurement/sourcing departments with direct involvement in supplier decarbonization (major asset)
- Expert mastery of GHG Protocol, SBTi standards, TCFD, and CSRD frameworks
- In-depth knowledge of PPAs, energy transition projects, RECs, and carbon management tools
- Familiarity with ESG ratings (CDP Climate, Sustainalytics, etc.)
- Proficiency with carbon reporting tools and emissions trajectory simulation platforms
- Knowledge of sustainable logistics and alternative fuels (asset)
Skills
Experience
Minimum 7 years of confirmed professional experience in carbon management and energy transition, preferably in industrial or FMCG environments with exposure to FLAG emissions accounting. Prior hands-on involvement in procurement or supply chain roles focused on supplier decarbonization strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to work with complex technical data sets, manage stakeholder-driven projects, and drive organizational alignment across multiple business functions.
Education
Bac+5 degree (five-year higher education diploma) in engineering, climate science, renewable energy, sustainable development, environmental management, or equivalent qualification.
