Role & Responsibilities

  • Achieve annual boutique sales goals across all product categories and lead sales associates to exceed individual targets
  • Develop, motivate, and train the leadership team and sales staff to maximize business results and client satisfaction
  • Ensure all clients experience outstanding service at all times and drive client development initiatives
  • Conduct regular management touch-bases to review performance, operations, and employee relations, and develop overall business strategy
  • Lead staffing and scheduling of associates while ensuring compliance with payroll budgets and headcount targets
  • Partner with Human Resources to oversee recruitment and hiring of boutique sales and leadership team members
  • Manage payroll, commercial expenses, and boutique operating budget to maintain financial accountability
  • Prioritize and coordinate events with the Corporate Office to increase boutique traffic and drive sales
  • Develop product knowledge in coordination with merchants and the training team, and communicate this to staff
  • Ensure visual merchandising aligns with brand direction and seasonal advertising campaigns
  • Coordinate and actively participate in in-store promotions including seasonal sales, trunk shows, and contests
  • Report on product sell-through and client feedback to make strategic recommendations to the merchandising team
  • Lead operational processes in partnership with the Operations Manager, including shipping and receiving, inventory management, and after-sales service
  • Adhere to and supervise compliance with established company policies and standards, including security, personnel practices, and record-keeping procedures
  • Review operational reports and records to ensure adherence to company policies, supervise store profitability, and manage payroll budgets
  • Review paperwork pertaining to receiving, transfers, damages, returns-to-vendor, and charge-backs to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Ensure adequate security exists and physical facilities align with safety codes and ordinances
  • Conduct quarterly emergency procedures meetings with staff and maintain updated emergency contact information
  • Problem-solve and develop strategies that support the boutique's service, efficiency, and productivity

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of boutique or luxury retail management experience
  • Strong understanding of the luxury fashion industry and luxury clientele expectations
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, motivate, and train leadership teams and sales staff
  • Proven ability to build strong internal and external relationships and maximize workforce effectiveness
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and follow-through skills
  • Ability to effectively delegate tasks and follow up with department managers
  • Competency in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
