Christian Dior Couture in Paris seeks an Audiovisual Documentation Assistant (work-study) to manage DAM indexing and bilingual metadata for images and video.
Role & Responsibilities
- Ingest, catalogue and index photographic and video assets (runway, lookbooks, shoots) into the department’s Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
- Liaise with internal departments to collect descriptive metadata and product references necessary for accurate indexing.
- Create and maintain bilingual metadata (French and English) including keywords, captions, rights information and other descriptive fields to ensure assets are discoverable and usable.
- Update and maintain controlled vocabularies, thesauri and reference lists in collaboration with the Dior Héritage team.
- Verify metadata accuracy, manage rights and usage information, and ensure the DAM repository remains current as new media are produced.
- Work under the supervision of the media library administrator and collaborate closely with the Communication and Heritage teams.
Qualifications
- Proven skills in indexing and documentary research, demonstrated through prior coursework, internships or relevant experience.
- Professional-level English and native or advanced French, able to produce flawless written descriptions.
- Strong organisational ability, attention to detail and rigorous orthographic standards.
- Discretion, responsiveness, adaptability and a collaborative team spirit.
- Interest in fashion imagery, audiovisual formats and archival practice.

Experience
Entry-level position suitable for candidates with limited professional experience; prior internships or academic projects in documentation, archives, library science or media asset management are advantageous.
Education
Enrolled in or recently completing a degree in Library and Information Science, Archives, Audiovisual Documentation, Media Studies, or a related discipline compatible with a work-study (alternance) programme.
