Christian Dior Couture seeks a Design Intern in Paris for six-month Assistant Studio Knitwear and Jersey role, starting January or March 2025.
Role & Responsibilities
- Contribute to the creative process by researching fashion trends, concepts, and textile innovations relevant to knitwear and jersey design
- Support the design and technical development of knitted fabrics and jersey garments
- Assist in technical development including drafting clear flat sketches and construction specifications
- Aid in the sampling, prototyping, and refinement stages of new designs
- Maintain organized systems for yarns, swatches, fabric samples, and digital design files
- Provide crucial support to the knitwear team during collection development cycles and fashion week
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless design execution
- Perform general administrative and studio tasks to support team operations
- Assist in organizing team meetings and preparing presentations
Qualifications
- Valid internship agreement from current school (mandatory)
- BA or MA in Fashion Design or Textile Design
- Portfolio submission (required for consideration)
- Strong understanding of knitwear design principles and textile construction
- Completed at least one graduation collection or previous experience in a design studio

Entry-level; no previous professional experience required but completion of a graduation collection or prior design studio exposure is expected.
Education
Bachelor of Arts or Master of Arts in Fashion Design or Textile Design; valid internship agreement from current educational institution is mandatory.
