Christian Dior Couture, Paris – Assistant Studio Jersey Internship in fashion design supporting jersey collection development
Role & Responsibilities
- Contribute to the creative process by researching fashion trends, concepts, and jersey fabric innovations
- Support the design and technical development of jersey garments
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless project execution
- Participate in pattern adjusting and draping for jersey designs
- Maintain organized systems for jersey fabrics, swatches, samples, and digital design files
- Provide crucial support to the jersey team during collection development cycles and fashion week
- Assist in organizing design fittings, including preparation of boards, mock-ups setup, prototype monitoring and reception
- Help organize team meetings and prepare presentations for design reviews
- Execute general administrative and studio tasks to support daily operations
Qualifications
- BA or MA in Fashion Design or Textile Design (valid internship agreement from current school is mandatory)
- Completed at least one graduation collection or previous experience in a design studio
- A strong understanding of jersey fabric properties, construction, and garment design principles
- Very strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Portfolio required for consideration
