Christian Dior Couture in Montreal seeks an Assistant Store Manager at Ogilvy Montreal to lead sales, client development and retail operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in day-to-day retail operations, including opening and closing the boutique and ensuring store security procedures are followed.
- Drive sales performance by coaching the sales team, monitoring daily sales metrics and conversion rates, and participating in client development and retention activities.
- Recruit, train and develop sales associates; organise schedules and allocate sales targets; lead regular in-store meetings on performance, product knowledge and merchandising.
- Manage merchandising and visual presentation: prepare product displays, execute merchandising directives and exercise discretion in applying brand guidelines.
- Oversee stock management activities including transfers, damaged goods, returns to vendor, cycle counts and inventory participation; minimise shrinkage and ensure price accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures across cash handling, loss prevention, store recordkeeping and personnel practices; resolve operational issues affecting service or productivity.
Qualifications
- Minimum five years of retail experience, preferably with at least one year in a supervisory or managerial role within a luxury or premium products environment.
- Proven commercial initiative with a strong fashion sensibility aligned to the brand.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends and public holidays and to perform opening and closing duties as required.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organisational and follow-up skills; demonstrated ability to coach and develop a sales team.
- Capacity to maintain an active presence on the sales floor for extended periods when necessary.

Minimum 5 years of retail experience, preferably with at least 1 year of people-management experience in a luxury goods environment.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in retail management, business or a related field is preferred.
