Christian Dior Couture seeks Sourcing Assistant Intern in Paris for 6-month placement beginning March 2027; support leather goods and footwear material development.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the complete collection development process for leather goods and footwear
  • Assist in launching technical collection materials and coordinate material sourcing for leathers, fabrics, and trimmings
  • Research and evaluate innovative techniques and materials for handbags, small leather goods, and shoes in collaboration with suppliers and manufacturers in France and internationally
  • Develop collection materials in partnership with manufacturing partners and external suppliers
  • Create and update collection tracking tools including dispatch schedules, master files, and product books
  • Provide support for product refinement and material optimization; monitor production timelines
  • Generate purchase orders for materials and technical specifications; track invoices and oversee receipt of materials

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in higher education (commerce school, engineering program, or materials/textile design degree)
  • Prior hands-on experience with product development and/or materials sourcing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Fluent English
  • Italian language a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Valid internship agreement (convention de stage) required
