Christian Dior Couture, Paris: 6-month internship as Assistant Retail Merchandiser for menswear and accessories, March 2027.
Role & Responsibilities
- Analyze weekly and monthly sales performance (sell-out, sell-through, best sellers) by product category, geographic zone, and boutique location
- Prepare and elaborate weekly and monthly sales reports segmented by product category
- Develop and propose action plans by category in coordination with regional zones and supply chain teams
- Define product lifecycle stages (permanent, carry over, seasonal, markdown)
- Identify best-selling products and market opportunities by region and category
- Centralize market feedback on current collections and requirements for upcoming seasons
- Coordinate zone requirements including delivery schedules, reorders, and inventory rebalancing
- Conduct retail network visits in Paris to assess performance and implementation
- Optimize visual merchandising in boutiques, managing specific pushes, best sellers, and slow-moving inventory
- Serve as interface between retail merchandising, marketing, supply chain, visual merchandising, and e-commerce departments
- During showroom periods: participate in creation and analysis of sell-in data, best sellers, and KPIs
- Prepare buying presentations including core assortment matrices, photography, and macro-level reviews
- Prepare buying tool documentation including cluster definitions, product status, delivery waves, and collection narratives
- Participate in defining buying strategy including core assortment and buying rules
- Coordinate zone purchasing activities including open-to-buy allocation and assortment by core/cluster/wave
Qualifications
- Degree from a business school, specialized Master's program in fashion, or equivalent
- Fluent English proficiency
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with Qlik, Cognos, or business intelligence tools is a significant advantage
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset
- Meticulous attention to detail and high standards of rigor
- Adaptability and dynamic approach to changing priorities

Experience
Entry-level; a prior internship in luxury fashion or fashion merchandising is valued but not required. Applicants should possess foundational analytical skills and familiarity with retail or merchandising concepts.
