Christian Dior Couture seeks an Assistant Retail Merchandiser for Men's (Leather Goods/Shoes) internship in Paris starting March 2027.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Analyze weekly and monthly performance metrics (sell-out, sell-through, best sellers) by category, zone, and boutique location
  • Develop comprehensive weekly and monthly sales reports segmented by product category
  • Propose action plans by category in coordination with zones and supply chain operations
  • Define product lifecycle stages (permanent, carry-over, seasonal, markdown)
  • Identify best-selling products and market opportunities by geography and category
  • Centralize market feedback on current collections and requirements for upcoming seasons
  • Coordinate zone requirements including deliveries, reorders, and inventory rebalancing
  • Conduct Paris boutique network visits to monitor retail execution
  • Optimize visual merchandising in boutiques through targeted assortments, best sellers management, and slow-mover strategies
  • Serve as interface between retail merchandising, marketing, supply chain, visual merchandising, and e-commerce departments
  • During showroom periods: participate in sales analysis creation, best sellers identification, and KPI reporting; prepare buying presentations with core assortment matrices, photography, and macros; develop buying tool configurations (cluster, core, product status, delivery waves, stories); contribute to buying strategy definition; coordinate zone purchasing within OTB and assortment parameters

Qualifications

  • Degree from a business school or specialized master's program in fashion/luxury
  • Prior internship or entry-level experience in luxury fashion and merchandising appreciated
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Qlik or Cognos a plus
  • Strong analytical and numerical reasoning abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail with flexibility and dynamism
