Christian Dior Couture hiring Assistant Distribution Manager in Seoul, South Korea. Lead distribution planning and inventory optimization for luxury retail.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and continuously optimize target stock levels for boutiques, e-commerce, and markets to achieve service level and sales objectives
- Lead inventory deployment and replenishment strategies in alignment with business priorities, sales forecasts, and stock availability
- Anticipate stock risks proactively and implement mitigation actions for shortages, excess inventory, and allocation imbalances
- Identify and drive product rebalancing opportunities across the distribution network to maximize sell-through and inventory productivity
- Oversee stock transfers, reversals, and stock building plans for commercial events, launches, and new store openings
- Develop and execute end-of-life and markdown inventory strategies in collaboration with Merchandising and Retail teams
- Manage and mentor Distribution Planning team members to ensure operational excellence and capability development
- Set team priorities and monitor workload distribution to ensure timely execution and business support
- Foster a collaborative and performance-driven team environment
- Act as key contact for boutiques and cross-functional stakeholders regarding distribution and inventory topics
- Deliver insightful analysis and strategic recommendations to management to support business decisions
- Monitor KPIs related to stock health, service level, transfers, and inventory efficiency, and communicate key findings to stakeholders
- Lead ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests for local and regional management teams
- Collaborate closely with Central, Regional, Retail, Merchandising, and Supply Chain teams to improve operational efficiency and process alignment
- Lead or participate in Supply Chain transformation and process improvement projects
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement sustainable solutions to improve inventory productivity and workflow efficiency
- Support system enhancement initiatives and reporting automation projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Distribution Planning, or related functions
- Strong experience in retail and/or luxury fashion industry preferred
- Proven people management and team leadership experience
- Strong business acumen with ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with proactive mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional and regional teams
