Christian Dior Couture — Toronto (Yorkdale) seeks an Assistant Boutique Manager to lead sales, clienteling and boutique operations in a luxury retail setting.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the Boutique Director in day-to-day management of sales operations, including opening and closing the boutique and ensuring compliance with company procedures.
  • Drive commercial performance by maximising sales, monitoring conversion and capture rates, and developing a loyal clientele through proactive clienteling.
  • Coach, train and develop sales associates in selling techniques, product knowledge, clienteling and brand standards; assign and monitor individual sales objectives.
  • Oversee merchandising and visual presentation, participate in merchandise displays and ensure correct pricing and housekeeping standards.
  • Manage inventory processes: prepare transfers, damages, returns-to-vendor, participate in stock counts and implement loss-prevention measures.
  • Coordinate in-store promotional activities (seasonal sales, trunk shows, contests) and ensure appropriate use of promotional signage and communication.
  • Ensure operational compliance with security, cash handling and record-keeping procedures and resolve issues affecting service, productivity or efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of retail experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or management capacity within a luxury product environment.
  • Demonstrated commercial initiative, retail creativity and strong fashion sensitivity aligned with the brand’s positioning.
  • Proven ability to coach and develop teams, set and follow consistent standards, and drive measurable sales results.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours including nights, weekends and holidays, and availability to open and/or close the boutique as required.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organisational, communication and follow-through skills; ability to maintain presence on the selling floor for extended periods.

Experience
