Christian Dior Couture in Sao Paulo seeks an Assistant Boutique Manager to lead sales, coach teams and manage boutique operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Boutique Manager in day-to-day management of the sales team and boutique operations, including opening and closing the store.
- Drive commercial performance by maximising sales, improving conversion rates and tracking sales metrics daily.
- Coach, train and develop sales associates in selling techniques, product knowledge and clienteling to grow personal client databases.
- Assign and monitor individual and team sales targets and facilitate communication between management and associates.
- Plan and execute merchandising and visual presentation in line with brand guidelines; participate in seasonal displays and trunk shows.
- Manage product flow: prepare transfers, handle damages and returns-to-vendor (RTVs), oversee inventory cycles and participate in stock counts.
- Control pricing, minimise stock losses and enforce security and loss-prevention procedures.
- Coordinate sales promotion activities and ensure correct in-store signage and promotional compliance.
- Oversee administrative and process compliance (cash handling, record-keeping, personnel practices) and resolve operational issues that affect productivity.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to maintain boutique standards of service, housekeeping and presentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum five years of retail experience, with at least one year in a management or supervisory capacity within a luxury product environment.
- Proficient in English.
- Demonstrated commercial initiative, creativity and strong fashion sensitivity consistent with the brand.
- Proven ability to develop and coach retail teams and to manage boutique operations (scheduling, attendance, merchandising).
- Availability to work varied hours including nights, weekends and public holidays; able to open and/or close the store as required.
- Capacity to maintain presence on the sales floor for extended periods and to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organisational and follow-through skills.
