Christian Dior seeks an Assistant Boutique Manager for its Beverly Hills boutique to support day-to-day sales-team leadership, commercial performance, client development, merchandising, stock control, and operational compliance. This is a permanent, full-time, on-site position.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the Boutique Director with the day-to-day management of the sales team and ensure the highest level of customer service throughout the boutique in line with Christian Dior expectations.
  • Maximize sales, measure daily sales performance and conversion rates, minimize stock losses, and attract new clients.
  • Open and close the boutique; lock and secure the store and oversee compliance with security procedures.
  • Assign and monitor Sales Associates’ sales goals.
  • Develop the clientele and train the team to optimize Capture Rate and After Sale practices for building personal customer databases.
  • Provide and inspire outstanding customer service.
  • Prepare merchandise displays and presentations, applying merchandising concepts and guidelines with independent judgment and discretion.
  • Train, coach, develop, and manage Sales Associates in selling skills.
  • Conduct or participate in regular store meetings covering performance, sales training, product knowledge, merchandising, and other necessary information for management staff and associates.
  • Facilitate communication between management and associates.
  • Participate in coordinating sales promotions, including seasonal sales, trunk shows, and contests, and ensure the proper use of in-store promotional signage.
  • Gather merchandise for transfers, damages, and returns to vendor.
  • Oversee and participate in department inventories and monitor merchandise pricing.
  • Oversee associates’ compliance with company policies and standards concerning company funds and property, personnel practices, merchandise handling, security, sales, and record-keeping procedures.
  • Resolve problems affecting departmental service, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of retail experience, preferably including at least 3 years of management experience, in a luxury product setting; the role also requires a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Initiative and commercial creativity, with fashion sensitivity and strong knowledge of the luxury industry consistent with the brand.
  • Ability to develop and train associates, build relationships, and make effective use of associates’ skills.
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service and manage sales staff toward sales and clienteling objectives.
  • Ability to manage boutique operations, including attendance, merchandising, and housekeeping standards.
  • Ability to maintain fair and consistent workforce standards.
  • Ability to adjust priorities and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear, concise communication, attentive listening, ability to understand material, and ability to provide instructions to associates.
  • Ability to work varied hours and days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and to work the hours necessary to open or close the store.
  • Ability to remain on the selling floor for extended periods as needed.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to operate equipment required for the role, including POS systems, PC, phone systems, cash register, sensor-tag remover, and other office equipment.
