Christian Dior Couture seeks an Assistant Boutique Manager in Beijing to lead team operations, manage sales performance, and cultivate VIP clienteling relationships.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage and control boutique sales performance in subordination to the Boutique Manager, ensuring all targets and KPIs are achieved
  • Maintain ultimate luxury store ambience both inside and outside according to Dior standards, with meticulous attention to detail in the retail environment
  • Act as a brand ambassador, embodying and representing the Dior brand image to all customers and stakeholders
  • Oversee merchandise display and visual merchandising execution to enhance collection prestige in accordance with brand guidelines
  • Support high-value sales interactions with key VIP customers, directing clients to appropriate sales representatives and category owners
  • Demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge across all categories and actively coach team members on a daily basis
  • Assist the Boutique Manager in managing challenging customer situations and implementing solutions aligned with company standards
  • Ensure execution of all Dior sales policies and procedures
  • Welcome customers with warmth and elegance, ensuring quality communications through in-store, telephone, and written channels
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to foster brand loyalty and trust
  • Support the Boutique Manager in maintaining a dense network of relationships with potential customers and high-value clientele
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of established customers, anticipating their preferences and curating product selections accordingly
  • Manage and maintain the clienteling database in coordination with the Boutique Manager, ensuring full team utilization of the CRM system
  • Organize and support client invitations to key image events, in-store events, and trunk shows
  • Participate in the recruitment of new team members and organize their onboarding and training
  • Guarantee team presentation standards including body language, verbal communication, and behavior in accordance with Dior practices
  • Define and control task distribution and assignments within the team
  • Implement and monitor work schedules to ensure optimal balance between resources and store traffic
  • Assist the Boutique Manager in defining objectives and priorities aligned with action plans and KPIs
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations with focus on action plan delivery
  • Hold daily briefings to convey energy and focus teams on objectives and targets
  • Organize regular sales representative coaching sessions and observe team performance in the field
  • Identify training needs and enroll team members in appropriate training modules
  • Monitor knowledge acquisition, technique development, and behavioral changes, refocusing teams when necessary
  • Ensure proper maintenance and optimal presentation of the boutique's physical property and architecture
  • Ensure all boutique administrative, finance, and accounting aspects comply with company procedures and guidelines
  • Maintain optimal inventory organization and tidy storage conditions, organizing regular cycle inventory counts
  • Ensure high-value items including furs, exotic bags, timepieces, and high jewelry are counted weekly; other products counted monthly or quarterly depending on stock levels
  • Manage damaged goods control procedures
  • Ensure proper application of cash desk procedures and compliance with legal, fiscal, and customs regulations
  • Consolidate and analyze boutique reports, providing timely feedback to the Boutique Manager
  • Analyze and communicate POS data, competitor information, and market trends
  • Keep the team updated with latest directions and priorities from the Boutique Manager

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of luxury retail experience in an Assistant Boutique Manager capacity
  • Strong interpersonal and people management capabilities
  • Distinctive service orientation and customer sense
  • Good business acumen and fashion sense
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of luxury retail operations and CRM systems
