Role & Responsibilities
- Analyze alteration requirements by carefully following fitter markings and detailed technical specifications
- Disassemble garments while documenting technical details to ensure accurate reconstruction and preservation of original construction methods
- Operate specialized sewing equipment including flat-seam machines, sergers, buttonhole machines, and industrial presses, maintaining all machinery in optimal condition and reporting malfunctions
- Reassemble garments with precision alterations, verifying that all modifications meet client specifications and Maison standards
- Press garments carefully for refined final presentation and conduct meticulous quality verification of each alteration for perfect fit
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation to optimize efficiency and presentation
- Adhere to all atelier procedures, alteration documentation, scheduling protocols, and internal processes
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in garment fitting and alterations within luxury retail environments
- Advanced technical knowledge of measurement-taking, textile properties, and alteration techniques including seaming, assembly, and patching
- Demonstrated mastery of quality execution and rapid, efficient work
- Proficiency in English
- Embodiment of Maison values with genuine passion for fashion and deep understanding of luxury products
- Excellent interpersonal skills, adaptability, punctuality, precision, and responsiveness
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in garment fitting and alterations within luxury retail settings.
Education
Technical training in tailoring, garment construction, or textiles is strongly preferred. Formal qualifications in haute couture or bespoke tailoring are valued but not mandatory; extensive professional experience may substitute.
