Role & Responsibilities
- Analyze alteration requirements by following fitter markings and technical specifications, ensuring precise execution of all modifications
- Disassemble garments methodically, documenting technical details to ensure accurate reconstruction and fidelity to the client's original design intent
- Operate specialized sewing equipment including lockstitch machines, overlock machines, buttonhole attachments, and industrial pressing equipment, with responsibility for equipment maintenance and immediate reporting of malfunctions
- Reassemble altered garments with meticulous attention to construction details and seam placement, verifying that all modifications meet client specifications and aesthetic standards
- Press and finish completed alterations to an impeccable standard, conducting detailed quality inspections to ensure perfect fit and proportional balance
- Collaborate with fitters and sales consultants to establish realistic delivery timelines and maintain ongoing dialogue with clients to ensure complete satisfaction
- Maintain a pristine, organized workspace to optimize workflow efficiency and reflect the Maison's commitment to excellence
- Adhere to all internal workshop procedures, alteration documentation protocols, and scheduling systems
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrable experience in garment fitting and alteration within luxury retail or couture environments
- Advanced technical knowledge of garment construction, measurement techniques, textile characteristics, and alteration methodologies including seaming, assembly, and piecework restoration
- Proven expertise in precision tailoring with a documented reputation for exceptional quality and rapid execution
- Fluent English language proficiency
