Chopard is seeking a Fine Jewelry Polisher Apprentice in Birkenfeld for a three-year apprenticeship starting September 1, 2027, with a 35-hour workweek and vocational schooling at Goldschmiedeschule mit Uhrmacherschule Pforzheim. The apprentice will polish precious-metal jewelry, work with traditional and modern finishing equipment, and learn surface treatment, alloying techniques and gemstones.
Role & Responsibilities
- Polish bracelets, rings, pendants and earrings made from precious metals to a high shine using different polishing techniques while preserving and highlighting their shapes and edges.
- Work with traditional polishing motors and draw leather to achieve a mirror finish, as well as modern machines and grinding and polishing barrels.
- Gain exposure to surface-finishing techniques, including ultrasonic cleaning and electroplating, and build foundational knowledge of alloying techniques and gemstones.
Qualifications
- At least a lower secondary school certificate (Hauptschulabschluss).
- Manual dexterity, technical understanding and spatial awareness.
- Patience, a delicate touch and an eye for detail.
- A quality-conscious and responsible approach to work.
