Role & Responsibilities

• Program and continuously optimize CNC machining programs using CAM software (FAO) to maximize production efficiency and part quality
• Validate and commission new programs on 3-axis and 5-axis machining centers, ensuring stable and reliable performance
• Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure consistent, efficient production operations and stable production systems
• Participate in technical improvements and industrialization of new product designs
• Provide technical support to machine operators and setup personnel, troubleshooting programming issues and optimizing machine utilization
• Maintain compliance with quality, productivity, and safety standards across all machining operations
• Document CNC programs, machining strategies, and technical specifications; integrate technical data into Windchill systems according to company standards
• Develop and maintain post-processor specifications for CNC equipment
• Create and maintain specialized cutting tools, tool databases, machine setups (posages), phase plans, DXF files, and production volumes as required for manufacturing operations

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in CAM programming software (FAO)
• In-depth knowledge of CNC machining processes, including 3-axis and 5-axis center operations
• Strong technical understanding of cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and machining strategies
• Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems such as Windchill
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturing specifications
• Knowledge of post-processor development and maintenance
• Familiarity with precision manufacturing quality standards

Skills

Experience

Proven experience in CNC programming and CAM software development within a precision manufacturing environment. Demonstrated background in optimizing machining processes, commissioning CNC programs on multi-axis equipment, and supporting production teams in a quality-focused manufacturing setting.

Education

Technical diploma or equivalent qualification in mechanical engineering, machine tool programming, or a related manufacturing discipline. Formal training in CAM software and CNC machining technology is essential.
