Role & Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable and creditor ledger activities, ensuring accurate, timely booking of supplier invoices and credit notes.
- Perform specialised gold accounting (Goldbuchhaltung) and reconcile inventory-related postings with procurement and production records.
- Execute bank accounting tasks, process payments and reconcile bank statements.
- Control cash operations (Kassenführung) and maintain petty cash records in accordance with company policy.
- Prepare daily reporting and routine statistical submissions to support operational management.
- Compile and file periodic VAT returns (Umsatzsteuer-Voranmeldungen) and assist with related tax documentation.
- Support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing tasks and provide documentation for audits and consolidated reporting.
Qualifications
- Completed vocational training in accounting, finance or an equivalent commercial qualification (e.g., Kaufmann/Kauffrau für Büromanagement, Finanzbuchhalter).
- Proven practical knowledge of accounts payable, VAT processes and statutory bookkeeping under German accounting practice.
- Experience with gold or inventory-related accounting preferred.
- Strong numeracy, attention to detail and ability to meet tight month‑end deadlines.
