Chloé seeks a Materials Quality Manager in Paris to oversee fabric and component compliance, quality standards, and sustainability across ready-to-wear collections.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define, deploy, and enforce quality standards applicable to all raw materials including fabrics, linings, and components
- Validate new materials during the development phase through laboratory testing and technical performance analysis
- Supervise quality control activities including report tracking and verification of compliance certifications
- Monitor in-production materials and identify non-conformities, defects, or quality deviations
- Drive corrective action plans with suppliers and production sites to ensure rapid and sustainable resolution
- Support Design and Product Development teams in assessing technical feasibility, industrial risks, and material suitability against product specifications
- Define testing protocols and coordinate with external laboratories to ensure reliable results and compliance with deadlines
- Guarantee traceability and reliability of material data within internal systems (PLM, ERP) including technical specifications and quality documentation
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to material quality, supplier performance, and the Maison's CSR commitments
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, environmental, and social standards, as well as the Maison's sustainability requirements
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within luxury or premium ready-to-wear environment
- Strong knowledge of supplier base and supplier relationships
- Confirmed technical expertise in materials quality and RSE/CSR compliance
- Excellent analytical mindset, rigor, and negotiation capabilities
- Agility and strong understanding of industrial and production constraints including timelines and costs
- Demonstrated sensitivity to product quality and aesthetics
- Fluent English (essential); Italian proficiency a plus
Skills
Experience
5–10 years of professional experience in materials quality or quality assurance roles, preferably within luxury or premium ready-to-wear fashion environments. Proven track record managing supplier relationships and implementing quality standards across full product development and production cycles.
Education
Technical or scientific background recommended (e.g., textile engineering, materials science, or equivalent professional qualification). Formal training in quality management systems and ISO standards is advantageous.
