The Boutique Operations Associate supports Chloé’s boutique operations and profitability through accurate inventory management, stockroom organization, delivery handling, transfers, documentation, and administrative support. The role reports to the Boutique Manager and is full-time, with an expected hourly range of $22–$25.
Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain boutique operations and contribute to profitability by receiving, handling, and managing merchandise inventory in a timely, organized manner.
- Maintain accurate in-store inventory and organize weekly and monthly cycle counts.
- Keep stockroom and sales-floor stock efficiently organized and in impeccable condition throughout the day.
- Receive deliveries from the central warehouse and inspect them upon arrival.
- Manage and track stock transfers between stores and stock sent for commercial activities.
- Organize end-of-season returns.
- Participate in morning team briefings and share operational information, including daily deliveries and stock updates.
- Support stock requests from team members.
- Share inventory results, consignment issues, and other relevant topics with the finance team.
- Communicate with other stores about best practices and issues encountered.
- Represent Chloé’s values of entrepreneurship, togetherness, excellence, creativity, and positive impact.
- Manage and follow up on shipping and VAT documentation.
- Support the manager in formalizing and updating boutique operating procedures covering stock, cash desk, and security.
- Provide administrative support by booking couriers, deliveries, and transfers.
- Complete store supply orders.
- Support the manager in ensuring full compliance with Richemont processes.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales; experience selling jewellery or high-end luxury products is preferred.
- Strong understanding of customer service needs and customer priorities.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective customer relationships and gain customers’ trust and respect.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 20 lb regularly.
- Ability to reach products stored in cabinets or on shelves.
- Ability to bend to access products stored in cabinets.
- Occasional ability to use a ladder to reach products.
- Ability to unpack and/or lift large boxes containing products.
