Apprentice Sommelier role at Cheval Blanc Paris luxury hotel. Full-time apprenticeship contract in Paris, France.
Role & Responsibilities
- Master methodical cellar organization, including bottle arrangement, labeling, rotation, and optimal storage conditions for wine preservation
- Prepare and present wines and spirits for service, ensuring strict adherence to high-end gastronomy protocols
- Assist the Head Sommelier in advising guests and executing wine service across Plénitude, Hakuba, Tout-Paris, and Langosteria restaurants
- Perform regular inventory audits, track incoming deliveries, and maintain fluid logistics between cellars and dining venues
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization standards throughout all wine storage and service areas
- Develop oenological knowledge through continuous learning alongside expert practitioners
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and food safety regulations at all times
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a specialized sommelier or oenology qualification (Mention Complémentaire Sommellerie, BP Sommelier, Bac Pro, or BTS Hôtellerie-Restauration)
- Fundamental knowledge of French and international wine regions with genuine passion for viticulture
- Professional-level English proficiency; additional foreign language skills highly valued
- Prior internship or entry-level experience in fine dining or luxury hospitality service is advantageous

Education
